Look of the Day: For Real

This outfit is my new favorite! I’ve had this dress for years but kept it out of rotation for a while, but my new favorite vintage handbag plus my chambray shirt and orange platforms have given it new life. Finding a new way to wear an old favorite is as exciting to me as shopping for a new one.
This one I wore to a birthday lunch with friends to the Phoenix Art Museum a few weeks agos, but I highly suspect it will be seeing a lot of sunlight this summer. In fact, I might just wear it again this weekend to celebrate Mother’s Day. How are you guys planning to pamper your mom on their well deserved holiday?
Whatever your plans, I hope you enjoy them!

Look of the Day: Casual Friday

TGI Friday!! And today I bring you a casual yet put-together look, one you don’t even have to think about, you just throw it on and you’re out the door. Isn’t it what we all want, to be able to look good and put-together without putting a lot of time into it?
The best way to achieve that is to mix some classic pieces and add a few accents. When it comes to classic pieces, it almost doesn’t get any more classic than blue jeans, white tee and the iconic trench coat. For accents, red is always a great option because it adds impact and color. So, besides red patent heels, I added a trendy red bubble necklace to make the look more modern. Meanwhile, the snake print handbag stays within the color palette of the outfit without being too matchy matchy and boring. Finally, red lips are all I need on days of hardly wearing any makeup.
I hope you guys are loving this look as much as I am. Wishing you a lovely weekend my darlings!

Trench coat: H&M - White tee: Uniqlo - Jeans: Gap
Shoes: Gianni Bini - Handbag: Michael Kors
Sunnies: Michael Kors - Necklace: ILY Couture

Look of the Day: Casablanca

Fashion has always been one of my passions, I have loved dressing up ever since I was little. I can love and appreciate all styles, from ‘preppy’ to ‘rocker chic’, but my personal motto when dressing myself is better described by a popular saying in Spanish: “De la moda, lo que te acomoda“, which translates to something like this, “From fashion, what suits you”. So, I try to find and wear outfits that are flattering and make me look good. I rather look good than look trendy, so you’ll often find me wearing classic, timeless pieces as opposed to the latest trends. However, I do like having fun with new trends, so when I really love one, I try to incorporate touches of it to my outfits, especially with accessories. Plus, those small touches can immediately make a classic look fresh and modern.

Today, I just wanted to share a look I wore Saturday night to go out with friends to one of my favorite bars, The Casablanca Lounge.
