I can’t believe it had been four months since I last shot some Look of the Day photos!! But that dry spell is finally over as I bring you here today some photos we shot this past weekend. Let me tell ya, even though I’ve never really gotten good at this whole posing for the camera thing, I felt more awkward than ever shooting these photos. Honestly, ever since I started blogging my outfits, I have a new found respect for models and their work, and of course every other fashion blogger out there…They make it look so darn easy! I don’t think I’ll ever be good at this, let alone a natural in front of the camera, and I certainly doubt “practice makes perfect” will apply in this case, but I do hope practice makes me fairly decent some day…and maybe, just maybe even make the whole process more enjoyable.

Anyway, ever since discovering that the right cut and stretch in skinny jeans can work for my body type, I had been searching for colorful options to add to my closet, and finally I succeeded in finding a pair… or two (you’ll have to stay tuned to find out which other fun color I got, on a future Look of the Day). Of course, just as my black skinnys, this lovely electric blue pair (as well as my mystery color pair) I scored on sale at Old Navy. Seriously, thank you Old Navy from the bottom of my heart for not forgetting about us hippy girls.

This light-weight sweater was another find at the same store, and unfortunately for you guys the online sale is not as good as the in-store sale because I scored this baby for $5 if you can believe it. I love lucky $5 finds!

Now that I think about it, I scored every single item in this outfit on sale. Except for the Coach bag, which I borrowed but was also found on sale by its rightful owner, just fyi.

Well, gotta run now darlings, but thank you for stopping by my little corner. Have a lovely day.

P.S. I’m obsessed with dark lipstick!!! What do you think? Too goth?

Look of the Day: The Last Goodbye

Today I bring you a look of the day shot on my last day in Vancouver. Right before heading to downtown Vancouver for a farewell dinner with friends, my dear Norma and I stopped by the Waterfront Park to try to get some photos with the Vancouver skyline as a backdrop.

The whole evening was the perfect way to say goodbye to this beautiful city, my wonderful friends, and this lovely time in my life. The sun was setting, the weather was gorgeous, location was perfect. Right after the photo-shoot, I rode the seabus into downtown for the last time, enjoyed a delicious dinner with my summer Charming Gardeners, and wrapped the night at my favorite jazz bar.

Even though I left Vancouver 4 weeks ago, with this last post and photos from my time there, it kind of feels like the last goodbye. I know I’ll go back there sometime, but for now…goodbye to Vancouver and to a time in my life that will never come back.

Look of the Day: Long Overdue

Yes, you read the title correctly…a Look of the Day is fiiiinally on the blog! It’s been so long since I’ve posted one, but now it’s here with a vengeance. Not because there’s anything particularly extraordinary about my outfit, but because the photos turned out fantastic thanks to, you guessed it, Norma a.k.a Lapir0.

We shot these photos yesterday at sunset, and I had a blast. Nothing like working with friends, huh? Plus the location was beautiful and very Vancouverite. This is actually the second shoot we’ve done together here in Vancouver, but we are so bummed that Norma’s SD card seems to have gotten permanently damaged, and our chances of recovering the pictures from that shoot (which had turned out great as well) are looking pretty slim :(. Please cross your fingers that a miracle brings back those photos so I can share them with you guys.

Now, moving on to discussing the look a bit, well, it’s quite simple and self-explanatory. The only part worth mentioning is that this skirt is actually one of those dresses you can wear like 10 different ways, and although I’ve only worn it as a skirt so far, I love it! The color is one of my favorites, and the fabric so light and comfortable. It’s kind of the perfect item to lug around while traveling. I promise to keep you posted when I decide to get more creative and start exploring all the other possibilities this little blue dress has to offer.

I hope you guys have a marvelous weekend, I’ll be trying to make the most out of mine since it’s my last weekend here in Vancouver. If you want to get some instant updates on how I’ll be enjoying it, you can follow me on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram.
